Satie performed by Georges Auric & Francis Poulenc, piano 4 hands

Eric Satie: Parade
Deux Morceaux en forme de Poire
Georges Auric, Francis Poulenc, piano 4 hands

Boîte à musique 16/17 (78 issue)

I don’t know the date for this (one web page lists it as 1937), perhaps somebody could help with that. I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been reissued on CD, so I have transfered this from a 78 copy. Auric and Poulenc don’t take the ultimate care over the niceties of coordination between the two parts, but the laid-back spirit of the works are captured perfectly, and the sounds they make are quite beautiful.

I’ve also included a pdf file of the score for this version of Parade
